Reasons why Made in Chelsea has lost its touch

Being a keen lover of not just in particular MIC but most reality TV shows I never thought the day would come when I had to say MIC isn't what it used to be.  The day has come today and here is a rundown on all the reasons why.

1. The Scripts get reused

Ever watched a MIC episode and thought I swear I've heard this before? De ja vu maybe? Well you wouldn't be wrong.  Most of the time the writers struggle to think of what the actors sorry reality stars could say so they use the old scripts to give a helping hand.

2. The Storylines also get reused

Again the writers struggle to think of something interesting so they like to stick to what they know which of course is a cheating drama. De ja vu again?

3. Alex Mytton

At first he came across as slightly one of the more likeable characters of the show for being down to earth and honest but unfortunately he changed his ways and decided to become one of the 'bois' which really isn't an achievement.  Not that cheating on your girlfriend 5 times was. Or lying about it for months. Oh and then he slept with his best friends ex just to top off how honest and down to earth he is.

4. They are not relateable or likeable in the slightest

The girls used to be likeable while you were allowed to hate on characters like Pheobe and Louise you could support Lucy and Binky because they came across well and always said the right things.  However this all came crashing down when Pheobe left the show and there was no one to hate on and Louise wanted to be the likeable character she so obviously isn't.  Now the show is left with a bunch of girls who are all completely delusional thinking they are right and unlikeable cast members.

5. The Thompsons

Louise has and always will be the most annoying character on the series for letting her boyfriend cheat on her and then ever since cheating on all her boyfriends at least once. Not only that but she so obviously isn't posh so she should probably stop pretending.  If she doesn't already sound annoying enough she has a brother. Could it get any worse? Well actually it can because would you believe the only thing more annoying than Louise Thompson is Sam Thompson.

6. Hiring cast members purely on their names

Not saying the cast members ever started with normal names like Caggie, Binky, Proudlock or Gabilicious but now if you want to get in your going to have to change your name to something like Toff or Alik or Lonan. That or you have to have a sibling on the show.

TV: Made in Chelsea: Episode 3 Series 6

I was really excited about this episode after watching the promo over and over again.  I knew that the now two love triangles would be raised to a heated level and that would be the main drama along with Spencer and Stephanie.
So first lets start with triangle number 1: Alex, Binky and Fran.  I couldn't help but feel really sorry for Fran and even though I love Binky and Alex I felt like what he did was a little bit cruel.  After weeks of flirting together Alex realised he had feelings for Binky while Fran was all over Alex thinking he felt the same way.
They all sit around at a bar talking when Alex invites the two to a house warming party which seems all very friendly.  Later on Jamie and Alex meet up to play rugby and Jamie being the ultimate love guru that he is tells Alex to cancel with Fran so he can be alone with Binky.  Alex being the innocent idiot he is goes along with the plan and texts Fran telling her he got injured in rugby and is going to have to cancel.  Little for he know Fran is at Cheskas' house planning her outfit for the evening and telling Cheska how much she likes Alex.
At dinner Alex first lies to Binky telling her Fran couldn't make it but later telling her the truth.  After feeling bad for a second Binky and Alex kiss but obviously still feeling bad about Fran.  When it come to the party Fran finds out the truth and confronts Alex saying she likes him and that he is an idiot and better treat Binky right.  Bit of awkward tension in the air?
Let's move onto love triangle number 2 then: Jamie, Phoebe and Lucy.  In the start of the episode we see Jamie taking Phoebe on her promised date whilst flirting with her when she gets a phone call from Louise telling her how Jamie slept with Lucy Watson! Wow didn't see that one coming! Not.  Anyway Jamie goes on to tell Spenny who says that they can't ever go out which Jamie agrees to.
After they all sit round and have a gossip about it Jamie and Lucy talk things out but it doesn't go great as he says she isn't being honest and walks away.  It all ends at the party though when Lucy and Phoebe get into a nice catfight (which Lucy kind of won).  After Phoebe calls Lucy a 'slut' the claws come out with the words 'unpleasant' and ending in 'your nose ring looks weird' which I had to agree with as I couldn't stop staring at it the whole time the camera was on her.
Right at the end Jamie comes to the bar to talk to Miss Watson and she finally tells him her feelings before they kiss. Aaaww
So my final topic has to end with Spencer and Stephanie.  I thought Steph seemed like Spencer's perfect match as she was lovely but the two obviously got on well.  They spent time in the swimming pool and seemed to be almost in love? Dare I say the word Spencer!  But then we find out that Spencer didn't go home one one night and was staying at a 'friends' house.  She say that she doesn't need this when she has her family at home.  Looks like that might be the last we see of Miss Pratt and I have to say a tear did just fall from my eye as she was a great addition to the show....oh well I'm sure they will replace her with someone else. Maybe they should go for Geordie Shore this time or are we thinking more Desperate Housewives?

TV: Made In Chelsea :Episode 2 Series 6

When I sat down on Monday night to watch my favourite reality TV show I was expecting the same disappointment as last week but boy was I wrong.  The TV show that I fell in love with is definatley back to its old ways. Lucy was back on form and rather then be the tell tale that cries she became her old straight talking self again.
It starts with introducing the american TV celeb Stephanie Pratt (Spencer's new girlfriend).  They meet at Heathrow Airport and as she steps out of the taxi with her long legs and gorgeous hair they quickly bump into Binky. How coincindentual? She says she has an open ended ticket and word quickly gets around with Stephanie being the new gossip of Chelsea.  Some are a little suprised at how quickly he has moved on but I can't help thinking that she fits well with Spencer and she might be the girl that can finally tame the love rat that is Spencer Matthews.
There is some trouble in paradise with Louise and Andy is they finally put an end to the relationship.  They ended things last episode saying they would just be on a break as Andy needs time to breath and as the episode went on it seemed they were going to make the decision to stay together.  They talked things over at dinner but then Spencer and Stephanie walked into the same restaurant and made themselves at home by sitting down with them.  Andy starts to have an aggresive conversation with Spencer who acts very innocent in front of his new girlfriend ending in Louise and Andy walking out of the restaurant leaving Spencer with the bill...nice one!  Andy later admits to Lucy the next day he 'crumbled' and slept with Louise leaving him very confused of his feelings.  Lucy then tells him that Louise and Spencer have been texting ending in Andy having a heated discussion with Louise at Polo before telling her that it is over.
Meanwhile Fran and Alex go and have lunch together to discuss their feelings for each other while Phoebe and Jamie walk past leaving Phoebe fuming at the fact that her friend is out witn her ex.  She also confronts her at the Polo while pulling faces at everything Cheska says under her hat.  How mature.  She then goes to stand by herself when Jamie walks over and tells her he stills has feelings for her and then the two plan to go on a date.  Jamie throughout the episode flirts with Lucy though and I can feel a love triangle coming on between two sworn enemies.  Anbody else excited to see how this plays out? Have to say I'm Team Lucy all the way!

TV: Made in Chelsea Series 6 Returns!

On Monday night I was sitting in my bed at 10pm waiting for the BAFTA award winning show that is ‘Made in Chelsea’.  Like many other fans of the show I had seen the promo on E4 earlier that week and I was very excited to watch the cast bring new drama to my TV screen.  I had started watching the show a few series back and got hooked quickly on this reality TV show.  However on Monday night I couldn’t help feel a little…disappointed.  Let’s face it the TV show has always been quite structured.  For example normal people don’t tend to bump into their enemies/friends everywhere they go, especially in a place that is meant to be busy but on the show looks a little dead.  However the first episode to series six looked like it might have had a script to go with it.  Saying this however parts of the episode were quite amusing and it definitely had lots of drama!
Let me start off by talking about Spencer, Lucy, Louise and Andy.  They seem to be the main characters and it looks as if the series might just revolve around Spencer.  The episode starts off with Spencer in a therapy session talking about relationship problems and he sort of answers the question on everyone’s minds: Why did he cheat on Lucy Watson?  He goes on through the episode pretending like his and Lucy’s relationship was just a rebound from Louise and that he is the perfect shoulder to cry on.  Meanwhile Louise and Andy break up. Shocker! After hearing rumours and Lucy giving Andy a juicy piece of information he finally ends his relationship with Louise.  Now Lucy is one of my favourite characters and I love her straight talking attitude which gives the programme a comedic tone as well as making drama, but I couldn’t help but feel a little betrayed by her normal ways when she went and told Andy and got her nose stuck in the situation.  It feels like she is becoming just another cast member that goes around stirring the drama up but not in a good way.
Louise gets all teary in her bedroom later on telling Rosie how she is going to fight for the relationship.  Her and Spencer take a surprising turn and now have become friends? Even though last series they hated each other? Spencer goes round to Louise just after the break up and tells her he will always be on her side? *Confused face*
Another story line waiting to happen is the scenario of Phoebe, Fran and Alex.  If you don’t know already Alex is Phoebe’s first serious boyfriend that she dated years ago.  Fran is very good friends with Phoebe and even describes her as a ‘sister’ in the episode.  Through the summer though a spark has started to fly between Fran and Alex and they even kissed.  Fran goes to tell Phoebe who looks utterly disgusted telling Fran they she is not allowed to go there while giving her a dirty look which kind of made me think she was Cruella De Vil.
The funniest part for me is the pool moment starring Francis and Rosie.  Francis is commando in the pool when Rosie walks past and has to throw his swimming trunks to him.  He maybe asks at an inappropriate time if she would like to go out with him and maybe become more than just friends.  Rosie doesn’t seem to feel the same way as she blushes but laughs at the idea.
